The machine on the table is the cooximeter, which we used to measure alalyze the climbers' blood to quantify carbon monoxide levels. It also measured hematocrit, so Emily and I measured our blood levels every other day on the way up the mountain to see how our bodies were adapting to high altitude. My hemoglobin went from 16 to 19.
